EA SPORTS have today announced that David Beckham will return as a FUT Icon in FIFA 21 and become a new temporary cover star.

EA SPORTS have confirmed that they have a multi-year ambassadorial agreement with Beckham, who will be added to the game as a FIFA 21 Ultimate Team Icon on December 4, to co-incide with the release of the FIFA 21 next-gen release date on Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

To celebrate his return in the game, anyone who plays FIFA 21 by January 15, 2021 will receive a unique, untradeable David Beckham item in FIFA Ultimate Team, and receive him as a VOLTA ‘Groundbreaker’, beginning December 15, 2020. The untradeable card will be 86-rated and will be based on his time at Real Madrid.

The FIFA 21 Standard Edition will also be temporarily updated on PlayStation and XBOX store fronts with a brand new digital-only Beckham Edition cover through the holidays.

From December 4, three versions of the David Beckham FUT 21 Icon will be added to packs within the Ultimate Team game mode, with the former Real Madrid midfielder having a Base Icon, Middle Icon and Prime Icon Version. You can see the pictures that will correspond to each version below.

The ratings for all three David Beckham FUT 21 Icon cards will be revealed on November 27.
