DAVID MOYES is open to making a shock return as Everton manager – and has been made the bookies' favourite to replace under-fire Marco Silva.
The Portuguese boss is under increasing pressure following the club's dismal start to the season.

Everton find themselves third from bottom having won just two of their opening eight matches – leading to speculation Moyes is being lined up to replace Silva.
And the Mirror report that the former Manchester United boss would be interested in the chance to take charge for a second time at Goodison Park if the job became available.
Silva is facing the threat of the sack having seen his side fail to win a league game since the first day of September despite spending heavily on his squad.
The club backed him with more than £100million over the summer but there have been few signs of improvement on the pitch.
Just as concerning is the fact Everton have only played two of the current top nine sides – seen as a clear barometer after eight matches as to the level the team is at.
West Ham are next up for the Toffees when they visit Goodison Park on October 19, and a defeat could spell the end for 42-year-old Silva.
And waiting in the wings is likely to be Moyes, who spent 11 years at the club until 2013 and turned them into regular top eight finishers.

The 56-year-old has been out of football since he left West Ham in the summer of 2018 having steered the club out of relegation trouble.
In that time he has rejected a series of offers while he waits for the right opportunity – and the Scot could now be tempted by going back to Merseyside.
And a run of bets have seen bookmakers slash the odds on Moyes to return to Everton to the extent he is now 9-4 favourite.
