VICTOR Lindelof lifted the gloom around Old Trafford last night after his smashed pass went straight out for a throw in.

And what looked like a good opportunity for either side grab some much needed momentum for the season, and bragging rights, turned out to be a dull affair.
United centre-half Lindelof summed up the quality of the 1-1 draw after his woeful attempt to switch play sailed into the stands.
Fans on Twitter were in hysterics with the pass – questioning what it was the defender was trying to achieve.
One said: "Lindelof pass sums up the quality of this game."
Another said: "Did he close his eyes trying to pass that ball or what?"
One commented: "That lindelof pass at the end was everything."
Not the highest quality PL game. Still trying to calculate the trajectory of Lindelof’s pass at the end 😳 #MUNARS pic.twitter.com/2XhlCXkAEF

Victor Lindelof drilling a 60-yard sideways pass into the crowd as Manchester United chased a stoppage-time winner will stay with me for a long, long time.

United opened the lead just before half-time after a classy strike by midfielder Scott McTominay.
But the Gunners pulled the game back just before the hour mark when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saw his leveller initially ruled out for offside, before VAR intervened.
Ref Kevin Friend had ruled out the goal but overturned the decision following a review by the Video Assistant Referee.
Despite the correct call being made, Solskjaer was furious.
He said: "The flag being raised made an impact on the situation.
"Ashley Young holds his hand up. He looks straight at the linesman, maybe hesitates and could’ve got a block in which probably would have helped."

Solskjaer also complained that VAR should have given them a penalty when Sead Kolasinac handled in the 55th minute.
He added: "There was a handball that we could have should have.
"Like loads of the penalty decisions if the referee doesn’t make it you don’t go back and have it."
