United's youngster came on in the Red Devils' 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Monday and recently scored the winner in their 1-0 Europa League win against Astana.
Greenwood was born in 2001 and posted the celebratory post on his social media profile shortly after midnight this morning.
The striker posted past pics of him in a United kit looking extremely young alongside the caption: "Birthday boy #18."
Fellow young teammate Scott McTominay replied: "Happy birthday mate."
And the 18-year-old also added a picture of a personalised birthday cake to his Instagram story that had a photo of him worked into the icing.
He captioned the pic: "Thank you @ManchesterUnited."
Spanish stopper David De Gea also jumped in on the action posting a video of the birthday boy to his own Instagram story.
The clip showed the teenager leaving United's training ground with a cluster of balloons flapping round his head in the wind.

Greenwood is widely tipped to be the next big thing at Old Trafford after winning the club's Jimmy Murphy Youth Team Player of the Year award last season.
After winning the award he said: "I just work hard on finishing after every training session. I try and score in all the training games, so that helps me and I just try and do it in the games."
Alan Shearer also said the youngster deserves to play for the Red Devils now.
