STEVE BRUCE has been ridiculed by his predecessor Rafa Benitez’s long-time lawyer.
The Toon boss has come under fire after winning only one of his seven Premier League games since replacing the Spaniard in the summer.

Isn’t that what Alan Partridge tried to do

And Benitez’s advisor Richard Green has mocked Bruce with a string of sly Twitter posts – even comparing him to hapless TV character Alan Partridge.
Responding to Bruce’s post-match comments after Sunday’s 5-0 defeat at Leicester, he posted: “He just doesn’t know when to say nothing.”
When a fan sarcastically asked if co-commentator Alan Smith got paid for pointing out the big space between Newcastle’s defence and forwards, Green wrote: “Yes but then so does Steve Bruce and he doesn’t seem to see it!”
In response to an article headlined ‘Bruce ready to bounce back’, he posted: “Isn’t that what Alan Patridge tried to do.”
'IT'S CALLED COACHING, MATE'
And after another comment saying the quality of the Toon’s players was to blame and not the boss, Green replied: “It’s called coaching mate. That’s what Rafa did. FFS!”
Green also wrote offBruce’s £40million signing Joelinton, who Benitez turned down the chance to sign.
The Liverpool-based solicitor said: “He is not a No9 and did not play as one in Germany.”
In reference to Joelinton and his forward partner Miguel Almiron, he said: “No chance of ten goals combined.”
Green has also had a pop at Newcastle owner Mike Ashley, who his client Benitez famously fell out with.
Following a commitment to upgrade the training ground by managing director Lee Charnley, he wrote: “I bet it isn’t upgraded until there is a new owner.”

And after Ashley did a rare newspaper interview in July, on the same day Sports Direct announced their financial results, Green responded: “Once a season normally before the first game and as long as not challenged.
“Anything else happen today with Sports Direct? Strange that.”
Benitez and Ashley have traded a number of their own blows after he left Newcastle to manage Chinese side Dalian Yifang.
But ex-Toon boss Sam Allardyce has defended Bruce’s start – pointing out he has three more points than Benitez had after seven games last term.
Big Sam told talkSPORT: “To blame Bruce just yet is a long way off as he has only just arrived.

“We have got to look at the situation and say he has got more points than Rafa had this time last year.
“I still don’t know why Steve is getting stick.
