Anderlecht finished fourth last season but have bagged just six points from nine matches since Kompany took charge.
And one of Belgium's most famous club's now sit 13th – three points off the relegation zone and a whopping 14 off the League leaders.
And after the angry fan group took action after the game, one fan on Twitter shone some light on the worrying situation.
Asked if such scenes are common in Belgian football, one fan said: "Normally for all the teams it's just verbal during games, only when it gets really bad and when all hope seems lost it comes to something like this."
Kompany took over as player-manager in the summer but stepped down from match day managerial duties last month to focus on his performances on the pitch.
Anderlecht have scored just six times in nine games – which has reportedly raised concerns over the defender's ability to coach attackers.
And the Belgian's on pitch performances have not been great either.
He recently blamed himself for every goal conceded when the 33-year-old's side went down 4-2 to Kortrijk last month.
While Kompany was a popular appointment at first, not everyone is as convinced now.
Ex-Anderlecht and Sheffield Wednesday striker Marc Degryse recently said: "Kompany is only human, besides being a good footballer – but I feel he thinks he is God.

"Some people like to be busy, but they can become too preoccupied. Kompany should think about this. There are limits to everything.
"If another centre-back had made the mistakes he made he'd have been criticised – and Kompany would have dropped him for the next game.
"Of course Kompany shouldn't retire from playing – but he has to make sure something like this doesn't happen again."
And fans online are also starting to change their opinions.
