Now Aubameyang – who scored the third goal on the night – has tweeted to call Saka "fire" after his sensational Europa League performance.
The Gabon ace, 29, shared a picture of the two celebrating, captioned: "Let’s say this you gunner is [flame emojis] well done boys".
It was a good night for Arsenal's young Gunners – after Joe Willock, 20, scored the opener to go with Saka's heroics.
And even boss Unai Emery was full of praise for the flying winger – who became the youngest Arsenal player to ever score in the competition.
The Spaniard said: "Maybe with his goal and performance he was taking confidence, he was finishing really strong."
The performance of the young stars has led former Arsenal star Martin Keown to question whether the club should have spent a club-record £72million on Nicolas Pepe this summer.
Keown said: "You think of the way Pepe's playing at the moment, they paid £72m for him, and this kid [Saka] looks better than him tonight.
"Look at [Saka's] composure. It's a beautiful finish. 18 years of age, unbelievable."
