The murder happened inside a flat in one of the upper levels of the Doonside Tower block.
Today, only residents were allowed in as detectives and forensics officers searched for clues.

The Bullfrog boozer – known locally as the Bully – is just 500 yards from the bloody scene.
It was cordoned off as officers searched for a murder weapon.
One of Tony’s pals said outside the tower block: “He was an angel with a murky face.”
Stevie also made an appeal for information on Facebook.
He said: “Was anyone driving down Shields Road at 4.20am this morning and saw people or persons run to wards the Bully?
“There was two cars flying down the road did you see anything? There was a girl walking to work was it you? Did anyone run past you?
“There’s an incident room set up in Doonside Tower, you can speak to the Police there or call 101.
“This could have been your brother, son or mate and there’s a murderer on the loose… please do the right thing this young man’s lost his life.”
The pub is a favourite of Tierney, 22, who has just signed for Premier League giants Arsenal in a £25 million deal.
Landlord Tony Reynolds said: “Police have been in checking CCTV to see if they came into the car park. I never knew him.”
The Scotland ace funds the Bully’s pub football team.
Just hours before the murder KT tweeted: “God bless the Bully and the scheme.”
Later council refuse workers were spotted picking up litter close to the pub.
