The 27-year-old, a proven Grand Slam champion, was full of joy after becoming the first woman from her country to play in this prestigious final.
The 2018 French Open winner will face either American Serena Williams or Czech Barbora Strycova.
It had threatened to be a long, drawn-out first semi-final with the first two games taking 20 MINUTES to get going.
Yet after that Halep was in no mood to hang around on a hot afternoon on Centre Court, cruising through the games, hitting the ball cleanly and destroying her weary opponent.
Halep took the first set 6-1 on the sixth set point and then thanks to a crucial break in the seventh game of the second set the victory was achieved.
Halep said: “It’s an amazing feeling. I am really excited and nervous.
