Speaking to Sky Sports at All-Star Weekend, Anunoby put Leonard at the front of his top three MVP contenders.

“I’m biased. I want [my team-mate] Kawhi [Leonard] to win. So Kawhi at one, Giannis at two and Harden at three. Paul George is playing good too, though,” he said.

While his team-mate heads his MVP list, Anunoby has been impressed by the consistent performances of Antetokounmpo and Harden this season.

“When [Giannis] gets a [defensive] rebound he can go the other way all by himself, do one of his Euro-steps and just dunk it,” he said.

“[Harden is having] One of the five best seasons ever. To continually score 30 points in every game. It’s really impressive.

“It’s their mindset, always attacking. They keep shooting, they keep being aggressive. That’s something I want to incorporate into my game.”

Anunoby’s journey to the NBA started in London, where he started his sporting life as a footballer.

“I was born in Harlesden and I go back a lot,” he explained. “When I moved over to the US I was still playing football but as I got taller I transitioned to basketball a little bit and then I had to make a choice between the two and I chose basketball.
