OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER cranked up the pressure on Ed Woodward to give him the Manchester United job on a permanent basis.
The interim boss chalked up his sixth straight win with a Wembley triumph over his arch-rival Mauricio Pochettino – who is United chief exec Ed Woodward’s preferred choice to take over at Old Trafford in the summer.

Solskjaer remained cagey as bookies slashed his odds to make him almost joint-favourite with Poch for the role after a first-half strike from Marcus Rashford and keeper David De Gea’s second-half super show earned United the points.
The Norwegian said: “This game was never about me and him. For us it was about the three points.
“We had to beat them today if we were still going to have a chance to catch them. Seven points is catchable, 13 would have been impossible.
“I’m just doing my job every single day until my contract runs out at the end of June and then I’m going to have to get a holiday booked in.”
