But who impressed for the Blues? SunSport gives you the rundown on who starred and disappointed at Stamford Bridge…
Kepa Arrizabalaga
Had a couple of heart-in-mouth moments when he was reluctant to hoof the ball upfield. Solid overall and made a two decent saves to deny Calum Chambers when Fulham pushed for an equaliser.
Cesar Azpilicueta
Made numerous important blocks and it was another brilliantly consistent performance at right-back. Marshaled his back four to another clean sheet.
Antonio Rudiger
Had a difficult job marking Aleksandar Mitrovic but managed to keep the powerful Serb quiet throughout. Almost scored a own goal when he turned a cross behind for a corner.

David Luiz
Spotlight was on the Brazilian following his shoddy performance against Tottenham but he was calm and composed. Barely put a foot wrong although it wasn’t his toughest test.
Marcos Alonso
Made his typical marauding runs up the left but his final delivery let him down on more than one occasion. His delivery was poor and Chelsea fans vented their frustrations.
N’Golo Kante
Brilliantly won the ball from Seri and slotted it into Pedro’s path for the opener. But often struggled again in his more attacking role. Would often run into space but lacked a creative instinct to produce a getting edge.
Jorginho
Has taken the responsibility of becoming Chelsea’s main man in midfield and constantly marshalled his team-mates to drive forward. Would have liked to have got on the ball more.

Mateo Kovacic
Kept possession well and linked up dangerously with Eden Hazard at times. An important player in Maurizio Sarri’s system and made a crucial block to deny a goalscoring chance in the first half.
Pedro
Barely had a kick before latching onto Kante’s pass to fire Chelsea ahead. Did well to find pockets of space on the right and proved he still has a big part to play under Sarri.
Eden Hazard
Almost impossible to win the ball from the Belgium magician. Dropped into a central role and would look to bring Olivier Giroud into play but the striker wasn’t on the same wavelength at times. Made a superb assist for Loftus-Cheek to put the game beyond the reach of Fulham.
Olivier Giroud
A frustrating performance for the striker to eager to impress. Touch was off and he bared the brunt of Chelsea supporters who were demanding more. Was hooked off for Alvaro Morata midway through the second half.

Subs
Alvaro Morata
Had a wonderful opportunity to put the game to bed but blazed it miles over on his right foot. Looked like a striker completely devoid of confidence.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Put the game beyond doubt with a crucial second after some superb link up play with Eden Hazard. A bright spark on his introduction to the game.
Davide Zappacosta
Came on in the 78th minute and looked to bomb down the right flank at every occasion. Looked solid at the back when called upon.
