Mane's £150k-a-week wages fall way short of some of the Premier League's biggest earners but the Senegalese star is thrilled to have agreed the deal.
Having also extended the contracts of Roberto Firmino and Mohammed Salah earlier this year, the Anfield club have turned their attention to the squad's younger members.
Joe Gomez has impressed in the early part of the season with seven clean sheets from 11 league appearances and the club have entered extension talks with the 21-year-old as a result.
His current deal, worth around £30k-a-week, runs until 2022 but the centre-half will undoubtedly want improved terms having become a key part of Jurgen Klopp's back line.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson, whose contracts expire in 2021, are also likely to be rewarded by the club as the full-backs have shone throughout Liverpool's surge to second spot in the league.
Alexander-Arnold has featured ten times for the Reds this season and also played the whole of last year's Champions League Final against Real Madrid at the age of just 19.
The 20-year-old currently earns around £40k-a-week after triggering a pay rise clause in April but will be looking for more given his standing in the squad.
