There’s nothing quite like pouring it on against an old team and LeBron James enjoyed his best night in a Laker uniform on Sunday with a brilliant 51-point displayin the 113-97 win over the Miami Heat.
James hit 19 of his 31 shots, including six of eight from beyond the arc to register the 12th 50-point game of his career and move past legend Allen Iverson for the sixth most in NBA history.
The 33-year-old also became just the fifth player in league history to have a 50-plus game for three different teams.
Lebron James grabbed his 12th 50= point game in his career, scoring 51 against his former team Miami Heat.
“I put a lot of work into my craft,” he said after the game. “I’ve been shooting a lot of threes, a lot of mid-range, trying to get my timing back and it’s good to see when the work pays off.”
Lakers coach Luke Walton said he knew his star man was on his game from the very first seconds.
“From the jump ball, he was going. He was in attack mode, and he was making shots,” he said.
