PAUL SCHOLES has found himself sidelined by a team at the 11TH level of English football.
The Manchester United legend came out of retirement at the age of 43 to turn out for Royton Town in the Manchester League Premier Division.

But despite having won 11 Premier League titles, two Champions Leagues three FA Cups, two League Cups and 66 England caps, he is now surplus to requirements.
“We’ve been at full strength,” said Royton Town chairman Gary Leeming. “So he’s not needed.
“At the minute, our manager Mark Howard is telling Paul Scholes that he’s not being picked!”
Scholes – whose son Arron plays for Royton, based in Oldham, Greater Manchester – clearly has no feelings about being left out.
