EDDIE JONES warns Australia will be fighting for their lives and Michael Cheika’s job in Saturday’s showdown at Twickenham.
Wallabies coach Cheika, 51, is under fire after just four wins in 12 Tests this year — including Saturday’s 26-7 victory over Six Nations whipping boys Italy.
5 Edie Jones says Australia could be at their most dangerous when wounded
After scraping past Japan 35-15 for a sixth win in their 12 Tests in 2018, England are looking to finish off their own roller-coaster year with a heavyweight win.
But Jones insisted: “My old mate Cheik is always at his best when they’re under pressure.
“He loves that, he’s a street fighter so it does make them dangerous. But we’ve had a tough year, too, and we don’t mind a scrap. So it should be a good scrap.
“I know they had a good win in Italy on Saturday and they will be ready for the battle.
