CHELSEA have been joined by Liverpool in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Christian Pulisic in January.
The 20-year-old winger is likely to leave Dortmund in the transfer window as cashing in on him now may be more valuable to them than opening contract negotiations.

Pulisic became the youngest foreign-born player to score in the Bundesliga in 2016, and he was USA’s stand-out performer in their 3-0 friendly loss to England last week.
Chelsea are favourites to land the young star’s signature, but reports now suggest that Liverpool will try to tempt him to Anfield with the promise of more game time.
A move to Liverpool would reunite him with Jurgen Klopp, who was in charge at Dortmund when the player was signed as a 16-year-old.
The Reds are so keen on the deal that they are said to be considering offloading summer signing Fabinho, in order to fund a £70 million swoop for Pulisic.

The American was born in Pennsylvania into a family of Croatian heritage. His family lived in England for a year when he was seven years old, and it was here that he really embraced the game, turning out for Brackley Town’s youth team.
He joined Dortmund’s U17 squad in early 2015, and since his promotion to the senior side he has made 107 appearances in all competitions, scoring 15 goals.
But his opportunities have become limited at the Westfalenstadion with the emergence of Jadon Sancho, who was named Bundesliga Player of the Month for October – and he has started just 4 league games so far this term.
Pulisic can also operate as a central midfielder, and would be of particular interest to Chelsea should the unthinkable happen and they lose Eden Hazard in the transfer window.

A starting berth in the Liverpool team does seem more likely, though, and former England striker Paul Mariner is in no doubt which club the player should choose.
He told ESPN: “If you were to ask me for a club he should go to – Liverpool. Klopp understands the Bundesliga, he understands what it takes to mould a player. He knows him very, very well.
“(Chelsea are) the wrong club for him,” continued the ex-Ipswich and Arsenal star. “He’s just going to go into a hopper of decent footballers who eventually go out on loan.”
